Gatley Festival

Gatley Festival and Gatley Hill Fields were the perfect venue for picnics in the sunshine amid food stalls & fairgrounds and I tried my hand at bowling for Cheadle Rotary. Thanks to all at Gatley Village Partnership for their hard work!

Heald Green Festival

Soaring temperatures brought out the crowds in Heald Green ably stewarded by Alex and Dylan and colleagues from 284 Squadron ATC on Armed Forces Day, and I chatted about jamborees to 3rd Heald Green Scouts who always welcome new recruits and volunteers.

Bramhall Festival

Forget Glastonbury... the festival action for me this weekend was here!

Assistance Dogs

I am supporting a campaign to tackle discrimination against guide dog owners organised by the charity Guide Dogs.

Lady Barn House School Assembly

I was delighted to have the chance to speak at one of Lady Barn House School's 'Inspirational Speaker' assemblies, about life before Parliament and my role as an MP. It's always interesting to hear from pupils about the things they care about and to answer their questions.

Cancer Research UK

I'm backing a call from Cancer Research UK to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Local Business Wins Queen's Award

It was interesting and insightful to join Minister for Business & Industry Andrew Stephenson MP on a visit to Woodford Engineering Consultancy in Cheadle Hulme. The company recently won a Queen's Award for International Trade, so it's great to see a business with local roots going global!

Stockport Grammar Visit Parliament

I had a great time meeting Sixth Formers from Stockport Grammar during their visit to Wetsminster. No prizes for guessing the main topic during a brilliant Q&A!

Wellcroft Care Home

Brilliant to see community spirit in action at Wellcroft Care Home in Gatley over the weekend as they were raising funds for a new dementia café. You can pop in to support them and maybe pick up a burger if you’re passing by on your way to Gatley Festival later this month!

Billy's Lane Allotments 100th Anniversary

It was fantastic to be at Billy's Lane Allotments over the weekend as they celebrated their 100 year milestone. They provide a great space for the more green-fingered members of our community to display their talents and it's always a pleasure to visit. Here's to the next century!
