Apprentices from Cheadle were joined by Mary Robinson MP in the House of Commons this week to celebrate the 10,400 apprenticeships provided by the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space industries.
On Wednesday, Cheadle MP Mary Robinson raised the ongoing traffic chaos on A34 with the Prime Minister in PMQs. The A34/A560 junction in Cheadle and Gatley is notorious among local residents as a traffic blackspot and is one of the five busiest junctions in the area.
As a member of the Communities and Local Government Select Committee I contributed to a report on national planning policy which was published at the start of April. The report comes at a time when Greater Manchester Combined Authority is working on its spatial framework which aims to identify suitable sites for housing and growth across the city region including here in Stockport.
