Readopted as the Conservative Party candidate for Cheadle

I am honoured to have been unanimously readopted by Cheadle Conservatives to be the Conservative Party Candidate for Cheadle at the General Election on 8th June. I would like to extend my thanks to local members for their vote of confidence and their enthusiasm to get out and campaign to make sure we have a strong Conservative Government led by Theresa May.

I am proud to stand on a record of campaigning in our communities, for important local issues, and speaking up for our area in Parliament, as well as supporting the most ambitious investment in Greater Manchester for generations. This Government is serious about rebalancing this country’s economy and I am determined to put Cheadle at the very heart of the Northern Powerhouse, and I will continue fighting hard in favour of local jobs, local businesses, and protecting our local identity.

Cllr Linda Holt, Chair of Cheadle Conservatives said: “We’re delighted to have re-selected Mary to be our candidate at the upcoming General Election. Mary has been a tireless campaigner for local people and issues during her time as our MP, and we’re all ready to make sure she is re-elected on 8th June.”
