Work Experience

Mary offers work experience opportunities to students from across the constituency.

The placement gives young people an insight in to local politics - a chance to develop their skills, boost their confidence and help them decide on their future career path.

Interns will be able to help with a number of tasks:

  • Researching an issue
  • Writing press releases
  • Accompanying Mary to a meeting or event in the House or in the Constituency
  • Assisting with office administration
  • Constituency Surgery

Work experience is generally offered as a one week placement. Please be aware that demand is high, and placements unfortunately cannot be offered to all who apply.

If you would like to apply for work experience, please download a copy of the form below and return it to our office either via email or post along with a CV and short cover letter. If you have any questions beforehand, please don't hesitate to get in touch at [email protected]
